The [Lausanne Jardins 2014](http://lausannejardins.ch/en/gardens/) gardening Festival that is held in the Swiss city of Lausanne, about which we have already commented in this [previous post](http://www.salagraupera.com/es/bloc/item/124-lausanne-jardins-2014-i), ended, after five months of exhibition, on October 11th its fifth edition.
As in other similar events, the objective of Lausanne Jardins is to transmit cultural and environmental values, while constituting a nexus of social, professional and media relations that nourishes the green industries and links them with the world of leisure, quality tourism and the media sphere; highlighting the garden as a cultural, technical and social manifestation of the first order. This is one of the most unusual ephemeral gardening events, both for the conceptual approach of the theme and for the fact of disseminating the selected proposals through the public space of the city. It is a good example of the importance of the ephemeral garden as a necessary cultural format to present the artistic, technical and environmental reflections that the green industry offers to society.
Among the varied gardens that have been part of the Festival, it seems interesting to us on this occasion to focus on the proposals of the two Spanish teams present in this edition: the garden Rolling garden awarded with a Distinction (equivalent to a second prize) project of a broad team based in Barcelona and the garden Garden Collective - Forest in a sack of the Citylaboratory group from Santiago de Compostela, awarded with a Mention (equivalent to a third prize).
[Rolling Garden](http://lausannejardins.ch/en/gardens/11/rolling-garden/)
The Rolling Garden proposal opts for a solution that combines DIY and sophistication with hydroponic gardening, applicable to vertical and horizontal situations. The network of tubes, on which various types of herbaceous plants grow, float in the air and run through various surfaces, evoke the branches and lianas of jungle or lush forest trees, to which tribute is paid.
According to the representatives of the organization, Christophe Ponceau and Adrien Rovero, the proposal has led to the creation of a new type of garden, which the creator team has called "three-dimensional horticulture".
[Garden Collective](http://lausannejardins.ch/en/gardens/23/garden-collective/)
This proposal, which competed with another project from a team formed by professionals from Madrid and Barcelona, finally resulted in winning this space. The conceptual axis of the same is the collective construction of the garden. That is why the creators have used shrubs and perennials, planted in sacks, to create a particular wild atmosphere on the stairs of the Notre-Dame Basilica. The fact of using this type of container for the plant makes it a mobile installation, easily relocatable, following the guidelines of mobility and adaptation of the garden proposed in this edition of the Festival.
In the [new catalog](http://www.salagraupera.com/es/bloc/item/128-el-nuevo-catalogo-de-sala-graupera) of Sala Graupera we can find various perennials and perennials, whose flowering extends until well into autumn and allow to obtain an effect of color and mass of natural appearance in the garden as in this one of the Festival. Among these species we highlight some novelties such as Gaura lindheimeri Belleza 'Dark pink', Leucophyllum langmaniae, Cistus argentus 'Stripey', Plectranthus zuluensis, or Teucrium flavium.
